Dr Omid Zarghom is a consultant Gastroenterologist at the Hospital for Specialist Surgery (HSS) in Norwest and a visiting medical officer to Healthwoods Endoscopy Centre.

Having finished his Physician training at The Alfred hospital, Melbourne, he completed his Gastroenterology training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Western hospital in Victoria before moving to Toronto, Canada to advance his training in Endoscopy and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at the University of Toronto, Canada.

Dr Zarghom has extensive experience in the management of complex patients with Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease following the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) fellowship in Canada and has ongoing clinical research centred around new therapeutic treatments for IBD. He has a special interest in diagnostic and therapeutic Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy in addition to Pillcam (capsule endoscopy), Coeliac disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
