Dr Khalid Rasouli, a passionate Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, brings a wealth of expertise and experience to his practice. Dr Rasouli specializes in a comprehensive range of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary diseases. He is proficient in advanced endoscopic procedures, and he is a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at Bankstown-Lidcombe Public Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital and Strathfield Private Hospital. He also performs procedures at Lakeview Private Hospital and Healthwoods Endoscopy Centre.

Dr Rasouli completed his post-graduate M.B.B.S from the University of Sydney in 2014 after previously working in the financial services field with a background in Actuarial Science from Macquarie University. He completed his basic physician training at Westmead Hospital, honing his skills and knowledge in internal medicine. Dr Rasouli a pursued post-graduate specialist advanced training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Gosford Hospital in the Central Coast Local Health District servicing a wide and diverse population. His commitment to excellence in his field is evidenced by a fellowship completed at Blacktown Hospital, where he focused on inflammatory bowel disease and therapeutic endoscopy. He was awarded Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2022.

In his clinical practice, Dr Rasouli offers comprehensive services in the investigation, diagnosis, and management of various conditions. These include bowel cancer screening, iron deficiency anaemia, oesophageal disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, early and advanced liver disease including viral, metabolic and alcoholic liver disease. He is particular interest in nutrition, metabolic health and gut microbiome health.

Certified by GESA in diagnostic and therapeutic adult gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy, Dr Rasouli possesses a high level of proficiency in endoscopic procedures. He also offers patients capsule endoscopy to assess small bowel pathology not accessible with traditional endoscopy. His endoscopic skills encompass advanced polypectomy, dilatation, variceal banding, haemorrhoidal banding, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), endoscopic submucosal resection (EMR), argon plasma coagulation (APC), chromoendoscopy, endoscopic stenting and treating acute gastrointestinal emergencies such as bleeding ulcers or foreign body removal.

Dr Rasouli has authored several publications in peer-reviewed international gastroenterology and hepatology journals and is passionate about clinical research. His dedication to education extends to teaching, where he shares his knowledge and experience with upcoming medical professionals.
